Has anyone else had a Samsung Smart TV show that it's connected to the internet, but the apps still won't open or load?
The network connection appears to be working normally, but apps such as YouTube, Netflix, or Prime Video may stay on the loading screen, show an error, or fail to open.
Could this be a Smart Hub problem, DNS issue, corrupted app data, or something on Samsung's side? What fixed it for you?
If the TV shows that it is connected to the internet but apps won't load, the connection itself may not necessarily be the problem.
First, check whether all apps are affected or only one. If only one app isn't working, the issue could be with that particular service or app rather than the TV.
If several apps aren't working, try completely restarting the TV rather than simply turning it off and back on with the remote. On many Samsung TVs, you can hold the Power button on the remote for several seconds until the TV restarts and the Samsung logo appears.
It's also worth checking for a TV software update and making sure the date and time are correct. If other devices have internet access on the same network, changing the TV's DNS settings or reconnecting it to Wi-Fi may help narrow down the problem.
Before doing a full factory reset, I'd try restarting the router and TV and testing another app first.
For anyone experiencing this: are all the apps failing, or is it only a specific app such as YouTube or Netflix?
